Spike in Retirement

3/30/09 February shows continued spiking in the number of Social Security retirees. Does this reflect rising unemployment or are we beginning to see the leading edge of retiring baby boomers who turn 62 years old this year? In the past 7 out of 10 62 year olds opted in early to the retirement system. Will that number jump closer to 10 in light of very slow economy?
